# Accessibility statement

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This page says honestly where we currently are against that, including the parts that have not been verified, because an accessibility statement that claims full conformance without testing is worse than none.

## What has been built in

Text and interface colours were checked against WCAG contrast ratios and adjusted where they failed, including the accent colour used on buttons and small labels. Every page has one H1 and a logical heading order. Interactive elements have visible focus outlines. There is a skip link to bypass the header. Decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology, and meaningful ones carry text alternatives.

## Motion and animation

This site uses a lot of motion. All of it is disabled when your device requests reduced motion, which is a setting in your operating system rather than something you have to find here. That includes the loading sequence, scroll-linked effects, the auto-advancing testimonials and the page transitions. Nothing moves automatically for longer than five seconds without a way to stop it.

## Keyboard and screen readers

Every link, button, disclosure and form control can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. The mobile menu traps nothing, closes with Escape, and is hidden from assistive technology when shut. The colour scheme switcher is a labelled button group that reports its pressed state.

## Known gaps

We have not yet completed testing with NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver, and we will not claim conformance we have not verified. The horizontally scrolling case study section on large screens is operable by keyboard but has not been evaluated for reflow at 400 percent zoom. The generative artwork is decorative and carries no alternative text, which is correct, but it has not been reviewed for photosensitivity triggers. Until those are done, treat this as a statement of intent supported by partial testing rather than a conformance claim.

## Our roadmap

The next round of work is screen reader testing across the three major combinations, a reflow and zoom audit, and an independent review by someone who is not the person who wrote the code. We will update this page with dates and outcomes rather than removing the gaps section once it is inconvenient.

## Content in other formats

If any page is unusable for you, we will supply its content in another format at no cost, including plain text, larger print or a read-aloud recording. Our full site text is already published as a plain markdown file with no styling or scripts, which some people find easier than the site itself.

## Reporting a barrier

Write to contact@hire-ai-designer.com describing the page, what you were trying to do and what assistive technology you use if any. We aim to acknowledge within two business days and to fix or explain within fifteen. If our response is unsatisfactory, users in the UK can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service, and users elsewhere can raise it with their national equality body.

## Legal position

This statement is prepared with reference to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the standard referenced by the UK Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations, the EU Web Accessibility Directive and the European Accessibility Act. As a private business we are not covered by all of these, but we regard the standard as the right one to build against regardless of whether it is compulsory for us.
