Disclosure requirements differ between the FTC, the UK CMA and the EU. If you later add affiliate income or sponsored placements, this page has to change before the relationship goes live, not afterwards.

How we earn
We take a margin on every placement. The client pays a rate, the designer receives a share, and we keep the difference in exchange for vetting, matching, contracting and account handling. We disclose the exact split to the designer on every placement. Clients are told the margin band on request, and we have never refused that question.
The conflict this creates
Our comparison pages, cost guides and salary guides all touch decisions that affect whether you buy from us. We have a direct financial interest in you choosing a flexible arrangement over an in-house hire, and in choosing us over a marketplace. We manage that by publishing the cases where the other option is genuinely better, and by naming them specifically rather than vaguely.
Where we recommend against ourselves
If you have steady weekly design work, an in-house hire is usually better value than any arrangement we sell, and our comparison page says so. If your brief is small and precisely specified, a marketplace freelancer is cheaper and the price difference is worth it. If a brief is too large for the block you are buying, we say that before you buy rather than after.
No affiliate revenue and no paid placement
We hold no affiliate relationships and earn no commission from any tool, platform or service named on this site. No company has paid to appear in our tool pages, to be described favourably, or to be excluded from a comparison. If that ever changes, the relationship will be labelled on the page it affects, not buried here.
Sponsored content
We do not publish sponsored posts, paid guest articles or link placements, and we decline these requests weekly. Nothing on this site has been written or edited by a third party with a commercial interest in its conclusions.
Testimonials and case studies
Client feedback is collected ninety days after an engagement closes, not at handover. Clients are not paid, discounted or otherwise compensated for providing it. Each case study is drafted by whoever actually did the project, then signed off by the client before it goes up. Metrics appear only where the client agreed to share them, which is why some studies have numbers and others do not. We publish criticism alongside praise.
Our own use of AI
It would be strange to sell AI-assisted design and be coy about this. The imagery across this site, including the generative artwork on every page and the preview cards, is produced procedurally rather than photographed or licensed. Draft copy is written by people and edited by people; where generative tools assisted a draft, a person made every judgement about what stayed. No client material has ever been used to produce anything on this site.
Designer relationships
Designers on our roster are independent contractors, not employees, and we say so plainly because misclassification is a real risk in this industry. They keep their own clients and their own names on the work. We do not prevent a designer from working with a competitor, and we do not require exclusivity.
Statistics about ourselves
We publish no project counts, acceptance rates or retention figures, because this is a young business and any number we quoted would be too small a sample to mean anything. When we do publish figures they will come from our own records, will not be independently audited, and will say so. Where a number would flatter us misleadingly we would rather publish the unflattering version.
Reporting a problem
If you think something on this site is misleading, or that a commercial relationship should have been disclosed and was not, write to contact@hire-ai-designer.com. We will investigate, correct the page if you are right, and say publicly what changed.
